Window Sash Repairs

Weather Stripping

Wooden window sashes are a great way to add an elegant appearance to your home. They are also durable and last for a long time if they are properly maintained. They can, however, be damaged or degraded over time, due to exposure and normal wear and tear. Weather stripping is the most important aspect to consider when you are repairing sash windows. It's located on both the frame and the sash. To complete these repairs to the sash, it's important to have all the tools needed before you begin. Begin by marking the position of the hinge channel on the frame with a pencil (Photo 1). Sash Weights
